Chandelier Cleaning

Chandeliers are elegant and beautiful. They are also fragile, intricate, expensive, and hard to clean! To maintain a chandeliers' brilliance, a maximum amount of light must be refracted by its numerous faceted crystals. Dirt or other coatings on crystal surfaces result in an unattractive dullness; ruining a chandeliers' brilliance.

Our Process

chandeliergroup.jpgWe start out by laying down large foam pads underneath the chandelier to catch any falling crystals. Then we remove all dust from the framework of your chandelier and clean each crystal one by one with cleaners and soaps specially formulated for chandeliers. Our special crystal cleaners not only clean the chandeliers but also put a protective coating on the crystals to repel dust and film. Our specifically formulated commercial grade cleaners will leave your crystals sparkling like no other. Most ammonia based cleaners may destroy crystals, so it is very important to use the correct cleaners.

After we are done cleaning the chandelier crystal by crystal we unscrew all of the light bulbs and clean them also replacing all of the bad ones. We tighten every metal attachment that connects the crystals whether those are braids, hooks, single pieces of wire or plastic. Thereby insuring your expensive crystals will never fall and brake on the hard floor.

In Style regularly cleans chandeliers that cost in excess of $1 million and above, and we are great at what we do.  Our staff is re-trained annually on the latest makes and models of chandeliers, and the proper cleaning and maintenance.

Why is Cleaning my Chandelier Important?

Maintenance is very important on any make of chandelier. Over time not only do your crystals collect dust and film making them look dull and grey, but the metal attachments get brittle and loose with time sometimes causing crystals to fchandelier_cleaning.jpgall and break.
There are many types of metal attachments for chandeliers. In Style are trained in and know the correct maintenance for all types of connectors and attachments. Sometimes these attachments are just simple hooks that weigh down and bend after continuous pressure forced by the weight of the crystal. These are very important to maintain regularly. Others are just metal braids attaching from crystal to crystal which become brittle after time, your In Style representative will let you know about the condition of the attachments during maintenance of chandelier.
