Our Process
In Style details and restores both gas and electric lamps. Since your lamps are often the first thing visitors notice about your home when they approach, this is a very important service to have professionally performed.
 
Gas lamps emit fumes that will enter the pores of the glass and corrode the surface over time.  You can spot this corrosion by a bright white glazed area at the tops of your lamps.  Also, you will notice an overall dull and dingy appearance of all the glass and metal surfaces of the lamp. 

Our four step process is to first dismantle each lamp carefiully pane by pane.  Next we will nutralize the corrosive acid with a specifically formulated PH balanced conditioner.  After the corrosion has been nutralized, we will clean and detail each piece individually.  The final step is to re-assemble the lamp and re-tighten each fitting to specific tolerances.

Electric lamps require a similar process, excluding the acid nutralizing step.  Electric lamps over time, will also develop a dull and dingy appearance from exposure to the elements that also need to be periodically cleaned.
